Report: Former Utah DB Marcus Williams Signing With Ravens

SALT LAKE CITY – Former Utah Utes defensive back Marcus Williams is moving on from the New Orleans Saints to sign with the Baltimore Ravens, according to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler.
The NFL reporter reported the free agency move on Tuesday, March 15.
Williams’ deal with Baltimore is reportedly worth a massive $70 million over five seasons.
A couple of hours later, Williams confirmed the move on Twitter.
“Words can’t describe the way I’m feeling!!! I’m so grateful!! I can’t wait to get to work !! #Ravens #blessed @Ravens,” the former Ute tweeted.
NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reported that Williams’ contract includes $37 million in guaranteed money.
About Marcus Williams
Prior to his time in the NFL, the Corona, California native played at the University of Utah from 2014-16.
After his college career, Williams was selected by the Saints during the second round of the 2017 NFL Draft.
He played the first five seasons of his career with New Orleans.
Last season, Williams helped the Saints to a 9-8 record. He recorded 74 total tackles, 52 solo tackles, one forced fumble, two interceptions, and eight pass breakups in 16 games played.
During his career, Williams has played in 76 games. He’s posted 321 total tackles, 239 solo tackles, one sack, three forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, 15 interceptions, one touchdown, and 38 pass breakups.
