SALT LAKE CITY – Former Seattle Seahawks and current Denver Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson is “doing his best” to recruit his recent teammate and ex-Utah State linebacker, Bobby Wagner, to join him in the Mile High City.
Wagner was released by Seattle on March 8. Wilson was traded to the Broncos earlier that day.
The Pro Bowl duo entered the league together in 2012 as draft picks by the Seahawks. They played with each other through the end of the 2021 season.
According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, Wilson is trying to persuade Wagner to join him in Denver.
“Russell Wilson isn’t officially a Bronco yet, but he’s doing his best to improve the roster — by recruiting Bobby Wagner to play with him in Denver, per sources,” Fowler tweeted. “Former teammates that played 10 years together in Seattle could reunite, though Wagner has an expansive market.”
