Southern Utah Flies Past Bethesda For Sixth Straight Win

CEDAR CITY, Utah – The Southern Utah Thunderbirds flew past the Bethesda Flames for their sixth consecutive win.
The T-Birds hosted the Flames on Friday, December 18.
SUU cruised to a 98-64 victory.

Four T-Bird players scored in double figures, led by Tevian Jones’ 21 points.
Jones was 9-23 shooting, including 1-6 from three-point range.

Harrison Butler, Nick Fleming, and John Knight III each scored 10 points or more.

Overall, SUU shot 47.4 percent from the field and 22.2 percent from downtown.
The Flames shot 35.0 percent overall, including 25.0 percent on triples.
Bethesda was carried by Steve Wooten’s 34 points.

Southern Utah’s next contest is the second game of a back-to-back with Bethesda. The Flames and Thunderbirds will play again on Monday, December 21 at 12 p.m. (MDT).
