American Fork AD Delayed Football Game Until Fans Complied With Social Distancing

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Last night’s football game between American Fork and Timpview experienced a delay because fans were not abiding by social distancing or mask-wearing requirements.
American Fork Athletic Director Jeremy Lewis delayed the game for about 10 minutes until fans complied with social distancing and mask-wearing guidelines.
American Fork’s Athletic Director has suspended tonight’s game until fans begin abiding by social distancing and mask wearing protocols. Says fans must sit in assigned seats.

Following the delay, American Fork beat Timpview by a score of 31-21.
According to KSL Sports’ Zak Hicken, the American Fork defense is performing well this season.

American Fork’s next game is against West High School on August 28 at 7:00 p.m.
COVID-19 has already been the cause of cancellation for some high school football games in Utah, this week Cyprus’ game against Ridgeline has been canceled.
