Cougars, Utes Make Big Plays During Week 3 Of NFL Season

SALT LAKE CITY – Former BYU Cougars and Utah Utes made big plays to represent the local players in the NFL during Week 3.

Here is how all of the players with ties to the state of Utah performed during the third week of the season.

Former Utah Utes

Leki Fotu – Defensive Lineman – Arizona Cardinals (1-2)

The former Utah defensive lineman had one tackle in Arizona’s 20-12 loss to the Los Angeles Rams.

Tyler Huntley – Quarterback – Baltimore Ravens (2-1)

The former Utah quarterback and the Ravens beat the New England Patriots, 37-26.

Marcus Williams – Safety – Baltimore Ravens (2-1)

The former Utah defensive back had five total tackles, four solo tackles, one tackle for loss, and a pass breakup in Baltimore’s 37-26 win over the New England Patriots.

Zack Moss – Running Back – Buffalo Bills (2-1)

The former Utah running back had four carries for 46 yards and one reception for six yards in Buffalo’s 21-19 loss to the Miami Dolphins.

Jaylon Johnson – Cornerback – Chicago Bears (2-1)

The former Utah defensive back was inactive for Chicago’s 23-20 win over the Houston Texans.

Garett Bolles – Offensive Line – Denver Broncos (2-1)

The former Utah offensive lineman and the Broncos beat the San Francisco 49ers, 11-10.

Tim Patrick – Wide Receiver – Denver Broncos (2-1)

The former Utah wide receiver is currently on Denver’s Injured Reserve list with a knee injury. The Broncos beat the San Francisco 49ers, 11-10.

Julian Blackmon – Safety – Indianapolis Colts (1-1-1)

The former Utah defensive back had one tackle in Indianapolis’ 20-17 win over the Kansas City Chiefs.

Britain Covey – Wide Receiver – Philadelphia Eagles (3-0)

The former Utah wide receiver returned five punts for a total of 34 yards in Philadelphia’s 24-8 win over the Washington Commanders.

Mitch Wishnowsky – Punter – San Francisco 49ers (1-2)

The former Utah punter punted the ball seven times for an average of 51.7 yards per kick in San Francisco’s 11-10 loss to the Denver Broncos. Wishnowsky pinned three punts inside the 20-yard line.
