Former BYU RB Jamaal Williams Scores Second TD Against Vikings

SALT LAKE CITY – Former BYU and current Lions running back Jamaal Williams found the end zone for the second time during Detroit’s game against the Minnesota Vikings.
The Vikings hosted the Lions at U.S. Bank Stadium on Sunday, September 25.
With 2:08 left in the third quarter, Williams broke loose for 13 yards and six points.

After the score, Williams celebrate the touchdown with a dance in the end zone.

The former BYU star gave the Lions a 24-14 lead.
The score capped a five-play, 54-yard drive that lasted 2:38.
After the score, Williams had 10 carries for 49 yards and two touchdowns. He also had two catches for 20 yards.
Williams’ first score of the contest came with 6:44 remaining in the opening quarter.

Williams entered the game with 23 carries for 81 yards and two touchdowns this season.
Williams is in his sixth NFL season and second with the Lions. Last season, he ran the ball 153 times for 601 yards and three touchdowns. He also added 26 catches for 157 yards.
Prior to the Week 3 game, the former BYU star had run for 2,667 yards and 15 touchdowns. He’s scored a total of 23 touchdowns.
Detroit’s game against Minnesota is televised on FOX.
