Former BYU RB Jamaal Williams Finds Paydirt Against Vikings

SALT LAKE CITY – Former BYU and current Lions running back Jamaal Williams entered the end zone for the third time this season during Detroit’s game against the Minnesota Vikings.
The Vikings hosted the Lions at U.S. Bank Stadium on Sunday, September 25.
With 6:44 remaining in the opening quarter, Williams ran up the middle and across the goal line for a two-yard score. It was Williams’ three rushing touchdown of the season.
The former BYU star gave the Lions a 7-0 lead.

The score capped a six-play, 54-yard drive that lasted 2:36.
After the touchdown, Williams had two carries for four yards and a touchdown. He also had one reception for 17 yards.
Williams entered the game with 23 carries for 81 yards and two touchdowns this season.

Williams is in his sixth NFL season and second with the Lions. Last season, he ran the ball 153 times for 601 yards and three touchdowns. He also added 26 catches for 157 yards.
Prior to the Week 3 game, the former BYU star had run for 2,667 yards and 15 touchdowns. He’s scored a total of 23 touchdowns.
Detroit’s game against Minnesota is televised on FOX.
