PROVO, Utah – The sixth meeting all-time featuring BYU vs Virginia kicks off tonight at LaVell Edwards Stadium here in Utah Valley. This matchup is the first meeting between the two schools since 2014, and it marks the return of former BYU head coach Bronco Mendenhall.
It's Tyler Allgeier's world, and we're just living in it. #BYU dominates in the 4th quarter to lock up the win.#BYUFootball #GoCougs pic.twitter.com/5zmK4GGG4y

Both teams enter the game with 6-2 records. BYU comes into the matchup with a No. 25 ranking in the AP Top 25.
Although the Cougars have won four games this season against Power Five opponents, the Cavaliers are the fifth team the Cougars face from a power league.
In year six under Bronco Mendenhall, Virginia has exceeded everyone’s expectations by reaching bowl eligibility through the first eight games and won four consecutive ACC games. In addition, the Hoos boast the nation’s number one passing quarterback in Brennan Armstrong, who has thrown for 3,220 yards.
BYU won the last meeting between the two programs back in 2014. However, Virginia got the upper hand the previous year in 2013 and leads the all-time series 3-2.
KSL Sports is on location here in Provo for BYU vs. Virginia and we will have you covered throughout the day with all the latest from LES. Keep checking back here for updates throughout the game.

That really sucks. He was unbelievable today for the Cavaliers.
He’s #NFL caliber.

The positioning of the official on that non-called PI for UVA was the reason it wasn't called. Nacua shielded the jersey tug there & the defender was in tight on him to hide it even more so
