BYU RB Tyler Allgeier Gets Hat Trick After Big Run Against Virginia

PROVO, Utah – BYU running back Tyler Allgeier sprinted to the end zone for his third touchdown against the Virginia Cavaliers.
The No. 25 Cougars hosted the Cavaliers on Saturday, October 30.
With 13:08 left in the third quarter, Allgeier broke outside and loose for 49 yards down the far sideline and across the goal line.
It was Allgeier’s third touchdown run of the game.

The score gave BYU a 45-42 lead.
Allgeier’s run capped a four-play, 75-yard drive that lasted 1:52.
It was Allgeier’s 14th rushing score of the season.
With that rush, Tyler Allgeier is over 1000 rushing yards on the season. Allgeier is the first #BYU running back with back-to-back 1000 yard seasons since Harvey Unga (2007-2009). #BYUFootball #UVAvsBYU

After the score, the sophomore had 15 carries for 122 yards and three touchdowns. He also had three receptions for 25 yards.
Allgeier entered the contest with 866 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns on the ground.
