SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The college basketball NCAA Transfer Portal has reached an all-time high of entries and the tournament hasn’t even ended yet.

Entering the Final Four and National Championship game this weekend, the NCAA Transfer Portal is constantly getting basketball players entering their name in it.

The head basketball coach of Emporia State, a Division II program, tweeted some staggering statistics about the portal in both men’s and women’s basketball.

The transfer portal has surpassed 1,900 men’s basketball players and 1,200 for women’s basketball. That number has increased since publishing this article since it’s a constant all day long. If you follow “Verbal Commits” on Twitter, you will know how often a player enters the portal.

The state of Utah has seven Division I basketball programs that will surely have their head coaches going through these names to try and get them to join their program. Here is the latest (as of Thursday afternoon) of in-state players entering the portal and commitments from student-athletes joining programs in the state.
