Utah Basketball Forward Timmy Allen Enters NCAA Transfer Portal

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Utah Utes forward Timmy Allen entered his name into the NCAA Transfer Portal on Friday evening.
Timmy Allen is entering the transfer portal after three seasons with Utah basketball.
Allen’s AAU team the Compton Magic released the news of the Mesa, Arizona native leaving the Utah program.

The junior had a tremendous season for the Utes, posting averages of 17.2 points, 6.4 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game. He earned first team All-Pac-12 honors at the end of the season.
Allen is the second player to enter the portal since head coach Larry Krystkowiak was fired on Tuesday, March 16, joining Riley Battin. He is the fourth Utah player to leave since the season ended, joining Battin, Lahat Thioune and Jordan Kellier.
Utah is 10 days into their coaching search and just had a second candidate pull their name from consideration on Friday as sources told KSL Sports that Johnnie Bryant will remain with the New York Knicks.
Whoever Utah AD Mark Harlan hires as the head coach, will have to re-recruit the guys on the current roster, including Pelle Larsson, Branden Carlson, Alfonso Plummer, Rylan Jones and Mikael Jantunen.
