Daniel Sorensen Picks Off Derek Carr To Seal Chiefs Win Over Raiders

LAS VEGAS, Nev. – Former BYU and current Kansas City Chiefs safety Daniel Sorensen sealed the win for the defending Super Bowl Champions with an interception.

Kansas City held a four-point lead with 28 seconds left when Carr attempted a pass to wide receiver Nelson Agholor. Sorensen intercepted the pass and returned it 14-yards. All that the Chiefs had to do was take a knee and they picked up their 9th win of the season.

It’s the third interception of the season for Sorensen. All have been big time plays for the BYU alum. The first pick in 2020 was against the Buffalo Bills on Monday, October 19. The Chiefs had the lead and the Bills were attempting to steal the win late in the game when Sorensen picked off Josh Allen to seal the victory.
The next week on October 25, he intercepted a pass from Drew Lock and returned it 50-yards for a touchdown.
Sorensen collected his 11th interception of his career. Along with the interception on Sunday Night Football in Las Vegas, Sorensen had 4 tackles and one pass deflection.
The Chiefs improved their record to 9-1 on the season. They will travel to Tampa Bay to face the Buccaneers on Sunday, November 29 at 2:25 p.m. MST on CBS.
