BYU Defense Holds Strong For Goal Line Stop Against Western Kentucky

PROVO, Utah – The BYU Cougar defense continued to hold strong, getting a goal line stop in the third quarter against Western Kentucky.

With a 35-3 lead going into the second half, BYU started off on defense to start the third quarter.

The Hilltoppers methodically moved the ball down the field, running 20 plays and taking up over 10 minutes of game time.

Western Kentucky had the ball at the BYU one-yard line with 1st and goal.

However, the Cougar defense did not waiver; getting four straight stops to force the WKU offense off the field with zero points.

BYU’s defense continues to play at a high level this season. Opponents are scoring just 14 points a game against BYU, putting the Cougars in the Top 15 nationally in total defense. They are continuing to stifle offenses this week against Western Kentucky.
