Katoa Takes Off For Long Touchdown, BYU Goes Up Four Scores In First Half Against WKU

PROVO, Utah – BYU running back Lopini Katoa caught the ball and sprinted for a long touchdown during the first half against the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers.
Katoa and the Cougars hosted Western Kentucky at LaVell Edwards Stadium on Saturday, October 31.
With 7:44 left in the second quarter, BYU quarterback Zach Wilson found Katoa in the flat and the running back took it the rest of the way.
Katoa sprinted down the field and across the goal line to give the Cougars a 28-3 lead.

After the play, Wilson had thrown 12/17 for 174 yards and 2 touchdowns in the air. He added three carries for nine yards and a touchdown on the ground.
Katoa had one catch for 42 yards and a touchdown. He also accounted for one rush for two yards.

It was Wilson’s second touchdown pass of the game and 18th of the 2020 season. The score was Katoa’s third touchdown catch of the year and his seven total touchdown in seven games.
