Utah Jazz Guard Donovan Mitchell Joining TODAY Show To Discuss COVID-19, World Teacher Day

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Utah Jazz guard is set to appear on the TODAY Show to discuss COVID-19 and World Teacher Day.

Mitchell will join the program on Monday, October 5 at 7 a.m. (MDT).
During the interview, the Jazzman will discuss the coronavirus disease and celebrating World Teacher Day.
The Jazz guard tested positive for COVID-19 in March 2020 and his mother, Nicole, is a school teacher.

World Teacher Day is celebrated annually on October 5.
Mitchell’s interview will be televised on KSL TV.
About Donovan Mitchell
Mitchell recently completed his third season in the NBA (all with Utah).
After finishing as runner-up for the NBA’s Rookie of the Year award in his first season, Mitchell was voted as an NBA All-Star in the 2019-20 season.
After the league’s season was halted in March 2020 because of the coronavirus pandemic, Mitchell lead the Jazz to a four consecutive postseason appearance.

Mitchell finished the season averaging 24.0 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 4.3 assists per game. All of the stats were career-highs.
The Jazz and Mitchell are reportedly expected to agree to a maximum contract extension this off-season.
