SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Real Salt Lake’s Giuseppe Rossi and Sam Johnson scored goals in the final minutes of the match against the Portland Timbers to earn a point.
The Timbers hosted RSL at Providence Park on Saturday, August 29.
After Felipe Mora extended the Timbers’ lead to 4-2 in the 85th minute, it looked like RSL would leave Portland empty handed.
Rossi and Johnson had other plans after they were subbed into the match late in the second half by RSL head coach Freddy Juarez.
In the 90th minute, Rossi scored his first Major League Soccer goal to cut the scoreboard to 3-2 Timbers.

Officials added four minutes of stoppage, which proved to be just enough for Real Salt Lake.
RSL forward Corey Baird assisted Johnson for the match-tying score in the 94th minute of action.
