Forward Corey Baird Evens Real Salt Lake With Portland Timbers On First Half Strike

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Real Salt Lake forward Corey Baird scored his second goal of the season to tie the Portland Timbers early in the first half.
Baird and RSL played against the Timbers on Saturday, August 29.
After giving up an early goal to Portland, Baird evened the match with an equalizer in the 19th minute of action.
The RSL forward took advantage of ping pong ball situation inside the box and buried a strike to even the scoreboard 1-1.
The strike resulted in Baird’s second goal of the 2020 season.

Baird entered the match having appeared in six matches this season with one shot on goal and one goal.
The forward’s first goal of the season came against the Colorado Rapids on August 22.
The Escondido, California native first signed with Real Salt Lake in January 2018.
