Forward Justin Meram Scores Real Salt Lake’s Fourth Goal In 32 Minutes Against Rapids

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Forward Justin Meram tacked on Real Salt Lake’s fourth goal in 32 minutes of action against the Colorado Rapids late in the second half.
Meram and RSL played on the road against Colorado on Saturday, August 22.
In the 89th minute, Meram scored RSL’s fourth goal since the 57th minute to put the Utah-based club up 4-1 over the Rapids.

With the score, the forward now has 44 goals in his MLS career over nine seasons in the league.

Early in the match, Colorado took a 1-0 lead during the 38th minute on an own-goal by RSL’s Aaron Herrera.
In the 57th minute of play, Damir Kreilach buried a laser shot into the right side of the net to tie Real Salt Lake and Colorado at 1-1.
During the 76th minute of action, Maikel Chang took advantage of a scoring opportunity inside the box as Colorado goalkeeper William Yarbrough fell to the turf.
In the 85th minute, Corey Baird stepped up into the box and buried a shot for his first goal of the year against the Rapids.
