SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Utah Jazz forward Joe Ingles, along with his wife Renae, joined a local coffee shop in hosting a fundraising dinner with proceeds going towards Australian brushfire relief.

The Ingles partnered with the Salt Lake City location of Australian coffee shop, Campos Coffee, for a “Rebuilding Our Roots: Sending Love to Australia” fundraiser on Thursday, February 13.

Proceeds from the dinner were pledged “to support the animal and community relief efforts in the wake of the devastating wildfires” that began in Australia in September 2019 and weren’t declared as “contained” for five months.

One of the pieces of gear signed by a member of Utah Jazz was an exclusive pair of Adidas D.O.N Issue #1 shoes signed by NBA All-Star Donovan Mitchell. The tiger-striped colorway is a limited edition that hasn’t been released to the public.

In January, Ingles and a group of Australian NBA players joined the brushfire relief effort with a donation of $750,000.

“We are heartbroken over the devastation these fires are causing all across our homeland,” the NBA players said in a joint statement. “Our thoughts are with our families, friends and all of the people of Australia. We hope you feel our love and support and know that we will continue to bring awareness to this crisis globally and provide assistance in any way we can.”
