MIAMI, Fla. – The Utah Jazz had a seven point lead in the fourth quarter before the Miami Heat went on a 21-4 run that ultimately ended in a 107-104 win for the Heat.

The Jazz received spectacular performances from both Rudy Gobert and Joe Ingles but they couldn’t rebound from the run by the Heat.

Utah had an 81-74 lead early in the fourth quarter before a 21-4 run put the Heat up 95-85. The Jazz clawed their way back to pull within three but Miami made their free throws down the stretch.

Ingles led all scorers with 27 points on 9-16 shooting from the field and a career-high 7 three-pointers made in 12 attempts. Gobert recorded another double-double with 18 points, 20 rebounds and 5 blocks. Donovan Mitchell struggled shooting the ball for the Jazz, finishing with 13 points, 7 assists and 3 steals, on 5-18 shooting from the floor and 1-6 from beyond the arc. Bojan Bogdanovic chipped in 19 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists.

Reports surfaced about 30 minutes before tip-off that the Jazz traded Dante Exum and two future second round picks to the Cleveland Cavaliers in exchange for Jordan Clarkson.

The Heat were led by Jimmy Butler with 20 points and 8 rebounds, Bam Adebayo had 18 points, 12 rebounds, 6 assists and 3 blocks, and rookie Tyler Herro posted 17 points and 6 rebounds.

The Jazz shot 43 percent from the field and 12-36 (33%) from the perimeter. Miami shot 41 percent from the floor and 9-25 from downtown. That run was basically the difference in the game as both teams were basically even statistically.

Utah’s record dropped to 18-12 on the season after the Heat snapped their five-game winning streak. They will return to Vivint Smart Home Arena on Thursday to face the Portland Trail Blazers at 8:30 p.m. The game will be broadcast on TNT.
