SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – How would you react if Utah Jazz mega-star Donovan Mitchell showed up at your Fourth of July party?
Last year some lucky fans actually found out.
On Independence Day 2018 Mitchell tweeted asking his followers, “Where’s the BBQ’s at Salt Lake? Might just pull up…Happy 4th.”

Thousands of people replied to the tweet letting Mitchell know he was more than welcome at their celebrations.

It seemed uncommon that an NBA star would just show up to your party, maybe even impossible, but not for Mitchell. He actually stopped at some of the Fourth of July parties around the city.

Mitchell is known for being engaged in the community. From giving his shoes away at games to helping people who were in a car crash, he has made a lasting impact in Utah during his short time here.
