SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Despite being in the middle of a Playoff series, Utah Jazz guard Donovan Mitchell still does what he can in the community that has quickly grown to love the second year star from Louisville. Mitchell witnessed a car accident before he called 911 and stayed on the scene until everything was okay.
Mitchell saw the accident on his way home on Sunday from practice.
The accident happened at 400 south and West Temple as a car ran a red light and hit the other car. Mitchell stopped when he saw one of the victims falling out of her car after the airbags deployed.
Police said the victim sustained minor injuries and the driver that ran the red light was cited for negligent operations.
