Jabari Parker, Ex-BYU Guard, Others To Participate In Jazz Mini-Camp

SALT LAKE CITY – Former No. 2 overall pick Jabari Parker, ex-BYU guard Frank Bartley IV, and 18 other NBA free agents plan to participate in a mini-camp hosted by the Utah Jazz.
The Jazz announced the mini-camp roster on Monday, June 13.
Utah’s camp will take place from June 13-14 at Zions Bank Basketball Campus, home of the franchise’s practice facility.
Parker, a former college star at Duke and a former BYU recruit, will be one of the 20 free agents participating in the event.

About Jabari Parker
During a standout prep career at Simeon High School, Parker was recruited by some of the top schools in the country. One of the programs that Parker took an official recruiting visit to was BYU. Ultimately, Parker chose to attend Duke over BYU, Michigan State, and Florida.
Following one season with the Blue Devils, Parker was selected by the Milwaukee Bucks with the No. 2 overall pick in the 2014 NBA Draft.
Parker battled through multiple significant injuries during his first few seasons in the league and only played four seasons for the Bucks.
Since the 2018-19 season, Parker has spent time with the Chicago Bulls, Washington Wizards, Atlanta Hawks, Sacramento Kings, and Boston Celtics. Parker played 12 games for the Celtics during the 2021-22 regular season.

The former No. 2 pick owns career averages of 14.1 points, 5.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 0.4 blocks, and 0.9 steals in 27.5 minutes per game. He’s played in 310 NBA games, including 190 starts.
About Frank Bartley
Prior to his professional career, Bartley played college basketball at BYU.
The Baton Rouge, Louisiana native attended BYU from 2013-15 before transferring to play for the Lousiana Ragin’ Cajuns from 2016-18.

During his two seasons with the Cougars, Bartley averaged 3.2 points, 2.0 rebounds, 1.0 assists, 0.4 steals, and 0.3 blocks in 10.1 minutes per contest. He played in 67 games while at BYU.
After his time with the Ragin’ Cajuns, Bartley has played professionally overseas.
About Denzel Valentine
Before his time in the NBA, Valentine was a standout player for the Michigan State Spartans. He was selected by the Chicago Bulls with the No. 14 overall pick in the 2016 NBA Draft.
After playing for the Bulls for four seasons, Valentine joined the Cleveland Cavaliers and Utah Jazz for a total of 24 games, including two with the Jazz.

He owns career averages of 7.0 points, 3.3 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 0.1 blocks, and 0.6 steals in 18.8 minutes per game.
About MaCio Teague
Teague is a native of Cincinnati, Ohio.
The guard played college basketball at UNC Asheville from 2016-18 and Baylor from 2019-21.
During his time with the Bears, Teague, and current Jazz guard Jared Butler, helped Baylor win the NCAA National Championship in 2021.

Teague went undrafted later that year and signed with the Jazz to play for Utah NBA G League affiliate, the Stars.
Last season with the Stars, Teague averaged 11.8 points, 3.3 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 0.7 steals, and 0.2 blocks in 26 minutes per game. He played in 12 games for Salt Lake City.
