SALT LAKE CITY – NFL Media analyst Daniel Jeremiah projected Utah Utes linebacker Devin Lloyd as a top 10 pick in the first version of his mock draft for the 2022 NFL Draft.
Jeremiah released the 1.0 version of his mock draft on Friday, January 21.
The former NFL scout listed Lloyd as the No. 7 overall pick to the New York Giants.
“Lloyd is a fun player to study. He flies around the field and makes a bunch of plays on the ball,” Jeremiah wrote, “His intangibles are off the charts. I could see the 2021 Pac-12 Pat Tillman Defensive Player of the Year emerge as a key leader for the Giants’ defense.”

He finished the season with 111 total tackles, 66 solo tackles, eight sacks, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, four interceptions, six pass breakups, and two touchdowns.
Lloyd was named the Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year for the 2021 season.
