Devin Lloyd Named Consensus All-American After AFCA Puts Him On Second Team

SALT LAKE CITY – University of Utah star linebacker Devin Lloyd was named a second team All-American by the AFCA on Wednesday morning.

If AFCA would’ve put Devin Lloyd on their first team, he would’ve been a unanimous All-American. Lloyd is still a consensus All-American.

Lloyd was named to many different All-American lists as a first team member but will be on the second team for AFCA. Here is a list of Lloyd’s accolades:

• Two-time Butkus Award Finalist (2020, 2021)
• 2021 All-America First Team (CBS Sports, Reese’s Senior Bowl)
• 2021 Lott IMPACT Trophy Finalist
• 2021 Bednarik Award Semifinalist
• 2021 Pac-12 Pat Tillman Defensive Player of the Year
• 2021 Midseason All-America First Team (The Athletic, Associated Press, CBS Sports, ESPN, Sporting News)
• 2021 Preseason All-America (The Athletic, Athlon Sports, Walter Camp, Phil Steele).
• 2021 Watch Lists: Bednarik Award, Bronko Nagurski, Butkus Award, Lott IMPACT Trophy, Reese’s Senior Bowl.
