Baylor Romney Seals BYU Victory Over Arizona State With Touchdown Pass

PROVO, Utah – BYU quarterback Baylor Romney sealed a win for the Cougars with a late touchdown against the Arizona State Sun Devils.
The No. 23 Cougars hosted the No. 19 Sun Devils at LaVell Edwards Stadium in Provo, Utah on Saturday, September 18.
With 2:35 left in the fourth quarter, starting quarterback Jaren Hall ran for 13 yards and a BYU first down, but was injured on the play.
Romney entered the game in his place and handed the ball off to Tyler Allgeier on the next two plays.
With 1:19 remaining in the game, Romney found Issac Rex in the end zone for a three-yard touchdown.

The Cougars decided not to kick a PAT or go for two and knelt the ball on the subsequent play.
BYU owned a 27-17 lead with a little over a minute remaining.
The Cougars held on for the 10-point victory.
With the win, BYU improved to a 3-0 record on the season.

The Cougars’ next game is against the South Florida Bulls on Saturday, September 25 at 8:15 p.m. (MDT).
