Rudy Gobert Annihilates Dunk Attempt By Ja Morant With Massive Block During Game 2

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Jazz center Rudy Gobert destroyed a dunk attempt by Ja Morant with a stifling block during Game 2 of Utah’s first round playoff series against the Memphis Grizzlies.
The Jazz hosted the Grizzlies at Vivint Arena on Wednesday, May 26.
With 8:59 left in the second quarter, Morant drove towards the hoop before rising up for a potential slam dunk.
The attempt was thwarted when Morant met the two-time NBA Defensive Player of the Year.

Gobert rejected Morant’s would-be jam and helped the Jazz maintain a 46-32 lead.

At halftime, Utah owned a 74-54 advantage.

During the first two quarters, Gobert had nine points on 3-4 field goals. He also recorded nine rebounds, two assists, and two blocks.
Gobert posted a plus-10 rating during his 17 minutes on the hardwood.

This season, the Jazz center is averaging 14.3 points, 13.5 rebounds, and 2.7 blocks per contest.
