Former Utah RB Bubba Poole Named Head Football Coach Of Canyon Ridge HS

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Former Utah RB James “Bubba” Poole has been named the head coach of Canyon Ridge High football team in Twin Falls, Idaho.
The Twin Falls School District Board of Trustees approved the hire of former Utah RB Bubba Poole as the head varsity coach of Canyon Ridge High School.
Poole’s last job was a coordinator for Sugar-Salem, helping the Diggers win three state championships.

This past season, Canyon Ridge went 0-8 leading to the coaching change and moving on from Sean Impomeni, who was the head coach for the last seven seasons. The Las Vegas, Nevada native spent four seasons at Utah as a JUCO transfer from Saddleback College. He played 36 games for the Utes from 2013-15 following a redshirt year in 2012.
Poole rushed for 844 yards on 207 carries for six touchdowns during his time at Utah. His best season was in 2013 when he racked up 607 yards and two touchdowns as the starting running back for the Utes.
After his college career, Poole spent some time in the AFL before getting into coaching.
