SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The University of Utah football program received a commitment from Independence Community College RB Tavion Thomas.
Tavion Thomas comes to Utah after spending one season at Independence Community College in Kansas. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Pirates are still in the middle of their season. They are 3-2 and have two games remaining on their schedule.
Thomas led ICC in rushing attempts, yards and touchdowns. The Dayton, Ohio native announced his decision via Twitter on Saturday afternoon.
“Would like to announce that I will be committing to the University of Utah,” Thomas tweeted. “It’s been a long time coming, just wanna thank the men above and the ones who have supported me.”
