Pine View Advances To 4A Title Game With Big Win Over Snow Canyon

ST. GEORGE, Utah – The Pine View Panthers will play for the 4A State Championship after beating the Snow Canyon Warriors, 48-7 in the semifinals.
Pine View picked up the win after scoring 48 unanswered points.
Snow Canyon’s only touchdown came in the first quarter when Landon Frei connected with Braxton Hickman for a 27-yard score. It was all Pine View from that point.
Early in the second quarter, Brayden Bunnell found Dominique Mckenzie for a 29-yard TD to tie the game. Just five minutes later, Ryan Jordan ran in a score from 18-yards out to take the lead.
Two minutes after that, Enoch Takau found the end zone with an 11-yard TD. That gave the Panthers a 21-7 lead at the half with all of their points in the opening half coming in the second quarter.

In the third quarter, Pine View dropped another three touchdowns with another grab from Mckenzie for a 43-yard strike from Bunnell. Jordan added another TD run as did Mckenzie from three-yards out.
The Panthers have won 12 straight and are 12-1 this season. Their only loss in 2020 was their season opener against Ridgeline.
Pine View will face No. 1 Sky View in the 4A State Championship game next Saturday, November 21 at 12:30 p.m. MT at Dixie State University.
