BYU Football Invite Fans To Create Shout Outs For Team Leading Up To UTSA Game

PROVO, Utah – With no one allowed to attend Saturday’s game between No. 15 BYU and UTSA in Provo, BYU Marketing is finding other ways to make fans part of game day.
The latest creation from the BYU Marketing Department led by David Almodova is shout outs on the big screen from fans in pregame.
Send the team a shout out!!
• submit your video to sportsmarketing@byu.edu

On Tuesday, BYU tweeted that fans could submit videos that would play for the team during the pregame of the Cougars matchup against the Roadrunners (1:30 p.m., ESPN2 & KSL NewsRadio).
Videos need to be sent via e-mail to sportsmarketing@byu.edu and the deadline for videos to be sent in is Wednesday, October 7th, at 11:59 p.m. (MT).
All three of BYU’s games played this season have been played in front of no fans. Saturday’s UTSA game is the fourth due to the current moderate “orange” COVID-19 status in Provo. Music is primarily the only source of noise in the stadium in pregame warmups. Giving the players a different look and sound during these unprecedented times.
Along with fan shoutouts, fans are also invited to make their presence felt on game day by purchasing a cardboard cutout of themselves that will be placed on the east sideline throughout the 2020 home season. A virtual Cougar Walk has also been created each week to greet the players and coaches when they get off the bus and arrive at LaVell Edwards Stadium.
BYU has a total of seven home games on its 2020 schedule. Including Saturday’s first-ever meeting with UTSA, five home games remain on the schedule.
