Ex-BYU QB Taysom Hill Throws Dart On Double Pass Trick Play In Saints’ Win Over Buccaneers

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Former BYU and current New Orleans Saints quarterback Taysom Hill threw a perfect pass during a trick play run against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The Saints hosted and defeated the Bucs 34-23 in the season-opening game on Sunday, September 13.
Late in the fourth quarter, Hill received a backwards pass from New Orleans’ starting QB Drew Brees. The former BYU signal-caller took the ball, stepped up in the pocket, and delivered a strike to Saints running back Alvin Kamara.

Hill’s completion to Kamara went for 38 yards into Tampa Bay territory with 2:33 left to play.

The Saints went on to win the contest 34-23.

Hill finished the game with one completion for 38 yards, three carries for 13 yards, and one reception for 14 yards.

The next game for the 1-0 Saints is against the Las Vegas Raiders on Monday, September 21 at 6:15 p.m. (MDT).
