Former Utes Safety Marquise Blair Forces Fumble During Seahawk’s Victory Over Falcons
SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Former Utah and current Seattle Seahawks safety Marquise Blair forced a fumble during his team’s double-digit win over the Atlanta Falcons.
The Falcons hosted the Seahawks for the 2020 season opener on Sunday, September 13.
In the middle of the third quarter, Blair lowered his head and went helmet-to-football causing Atlanta’s Sharrod Neasman to fumble the pigskin.
Seattle’s Freddie Swain recovered the rock and the Seahawks were in business with only 36 yards between them and end zone.
Five plays later, the Seahawks scored a touchdown to go up 28-12 on the Falcons.
Seattle ended up winning the contest 38-25.
Blair finished the game as the Seahawks’ second-leading tackler with seven total tackles and four solo tackles.
Up next for Blair and the 1-0 Seahawks is a game against the New England Patriots on Sunday, September 20 at 6:20 p.m. (MDT). The game will broadcast on KSL TV.
