No. 9 Kearns Looking For Third Straight Win, Will Face No. 17 Olympus On Game Night Live

KEARNS, Utah – The ninth ranked Kearns Cougars will search for their third straight win when they host No. 17 Olympus in the Game Night Live Game of the Week.
Kearns cracked the top 10 in the KSLSports.com Game Night Live Power Rankings after a 42-14 win over Mountain Ridge last week. In the season opener, they defeated Box Elder, 20-3.
Olympus moved up three spots in the power rankings after a 19-10 victory on the road against Hunter. The Titans started the 2020 season with a 27-17 loss to Mountain Ridge in Week 1.

Utah Target Jeff Bassa
Kearns safety Jeff Bassa is one of the star players for Kearns and is one of the best players in the state of Utah. He is a three-star athlete that is ranked No. 9 in the state of Utah (247 Composite) and the 104th ranked safety in the country.
Bassa returned a kickoff 85-yards for a touchdown against Box Elder in Week 1 along with two catches for 16 yards. He has 10 tackles on the season thus far.
Last season, Bassa racked up 53 tackles, 28 solo takedowns, 8 tackles for loss, 2 sacks and 2 interceptions.
Bassa’s recruiting is narrowed down to six teams, including Utah, Oregon, Oklahoma State, Louisville, Baylor and Arizona State.
Kearns Cougars
Leading the charge at quarterback for Kearns is Losefa Toia’ivao who has thrown for 244 yards and two touchdowns in two games. Naki Leha is the leading rusher with 195 yards on 38 carries for two touchdowns.
Joe Alusa and Ke’Ondre Polanco each have one rushing score apiece this season. Leading the receiver group is Jack Kelly with 6 receptions for 189 yards and one touchdown. Antonio Montoya also has a receiving touchdown.

Olympus Titans
The Titans have used two quarterbacks through two games. Tommy Hoggan has completed 11 of his 21 pass attempts for 110 yards and one touchdown. Seth Roberts has 75 passing yards, one touchdown and one interception.
Johnny Frank is the rushing leader with 35 carries for 138 yards and 2 touchdowns. Through the air, Alex Johnson has hauled in 5 catches for 30 yards. Peyton Rice and Spencer Tagge each have caught a receiving touchdown.
On defense, Nick Ballard has 12 tackles to lead the way in that category. Sam Green, Zane McFarland, Peyton Rice and James Smith each have an interception. The Titans also have sacked the quarterback six times by six different defenders.
