SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Is yet another Barton brother on his way to the University of Utah? Lander Barton, younger brother of Cody and Jackson, is entering his junior season at Brighton High School and is already listed as a three-star prospect, according to 247 Sports.
Steve Bartle, co-host of the It’s Utah’s World podcast, spoke on the star Barton brother following a visit to a recent 7 on 7 tournament in Utah.
“He had four touchdown catches where he lept over a number of defenders to haul the ball in at the back corner of the endzone,” Bartle said during the podcast.

Barton stands at 6 feet 3 inches and weighs 205 pounds. His preferred position is outside linebacker, however, he shined at wide-receiver during the 7 on 7 showcasing his unique athleticism. Bartle believes that with the appropriate development, Barton could eventuate to be a defensive end or pass-catching tight end.
He is listed as the fourth-best prospect of the 2022 class in the state of Utah and the 24th best outside linebacker in the country. Those numbers are likely to change as his high school career continues.
With both brothers having already attended the University of Utah, and now both playing in the NFL, the 247 Sports crystal ball predicts Lander to follow suite and showcase his talents at the U when his time comes.
Furthermore, there will be no shortage of attention to the youngest Barton brother. Already, he has three offers outside of the University of Utah. Nebraska and Washington have already offered Barton as he prepares for his junior season at Brighton High School.
I appreciate coach Malloe reaching out and offering me a scholarship to play football at the University of Washington. @UW_Football @MalloeMalloe pic.twitter.com/b6gXfsVwOT
