SALT LAKE CITY – Offensive lineman Braeden Daniels finally made it official Tuesday afternoon that he’s heading to the 2023 NFL Draft by accepting an invitation to workout at the upcoming Combine held in Indianapolis.
Daniels has been big part of the Utes’ OBlock since 2019 making appearances at left guard, right tackle, and left tackle through his career.
Daniels’ announcement comes as no surprise as it was pretty clear he had intentions of moving on to the next level to start the 2022 season. The talented tackle has appeared in 49 total games for the Utes with 43 starts. Daniels made All-Pac-12 in 2021 as a second-teamer and 2022 as a first-teamer.

Fellow Utes Heading To The NFL
Daniels is not the only Ute from the 2022 season trying to make it in the 2023 NFL Draft. He will be joined by fellow teammates Clark Phillips III, Dalton Kincaid, Logan Kendall, Gabe Reid, Mohamoud Diabate, Solomon Enis, Tavion Thomas and RJ Hubert on the “Path to the Draft”.
“The swiss army knife of our offensive line,” Utah head coach Kyle Whittingham said of his offensive lineman. “Can play all five spots. Slated to play left tackle for us right now, feels very comfortable out there. A lot like what Nick Ford gave us the last four or five years is what Braeden brings to the table.”
Daniels has the opportunity to showcase his versatility in post-season showcase games as he received offers to play in both the Reese’s Senior Bowl and East-West Shrine Bowl but appears to headed to Mobile for the Senior Bowl.
