SALT LAKE CITY – The countdown for Hans & Scotty’s 60 in 60 is on. Coming in at #13 is Utah’s Braeden Daniels (OL).
Throughout the summer Hans & Scotty are counting down the top 60 college football players in the state of Utah as voted on by the media (and a fan ballot).
“The swiss army knife of our offensive line,” Utah head coach Kyle Whittingham said of his offensive lineman. “Can play all five spots. Slated to play left tackle for us right now, feels very comfortable out there. A lot like what Nick Ford gave us the last four or five years is what Braeden brings to the table.”

Daniels is a junior from Carrollton, Texas. He attended Hebron High School where he was a three-star recruit. In 2016, Daniels was named first-team all-district, helping Hebron win the Area and Bi-District Championships.

His first season with the Utes was in 2018 when he played two games while using his redshirt. Daniels played 13 total snaps that season, including 10 against Weber State. During the 2019 season, Daniels started all 14 games at left guard, earning Pac-12 All-Academic Honor Roll. Daniels played in five games with one start during the COVID-shortened 2020 season.

This fall, the Utes will open their 2022 schedule on the road against the Florida Gators. The Utes and Gators will play on September 3. Utah’s first home game is against the Southern Utah Thunderbirds on September 10.
