Local Players Impress During Super Wild Card Weekend Of NFL Playoffs

SALT LAKE CITY – Multiple former local football players made big plays during the opening round of the NFL postseason.

Here is how all of the players with ties to the state of Utah performed during Super Wild Card Weekend of the NFL Playoffs.

Former Utah Utes

Tyler Huntley – Quarterback – Baltimore Ravens (10-7)

The former Utah quarterback was 17/28 passing for 226 yards, two touchdowns, and an interception in Baltimore’s 24-17 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday Night Football. Huntley also had nine carries for 54 yards and a lost fumble.

Marcus Williams – Safety – Baltimore Ravens (10-7)

The former Utah defensive back had two tackles and a pass breakup in Baltimore’s 24-17 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday Night Football.

Devin Lloyd – Linebacker – Jacksonville Jaguars (9-8)

The former Utah linebacker had five total tackles, four solo tackles, one tackle for loss, and a pass breakup in Jacksonville’s 31-30 win over the Los Angeles Chargers on Saturday, January 14.

Eric Rowe – Cornerback – Miami Dolphins (9-8)

The former Utah defensive back had six total tackles, five solo tackles, one sack, and a tackle for loss in Miami’s 34-31 loss to the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, January 15.

Britain Covey – Wide Receiver – Philadelphia Eagles (14-3)

The former Utah wide receiver and the Eagles earned the No. 1 seed in the NFC and a first-round bye in the NFL Playoffs.

Mitch Wishnowsky – Punter – San Francisco 49ers (13-4)

The former Utah punter had one punt for 57 yards in San Francisco’s 41-23 win over the Seattle Seahawks on Saturday, January 14.

Cody Barton – Linebacker – Seattle Seahawks (9-8)

The former Utah linebacker had nine total tackles, four solo tackles, one tackle for loss, and one pass breakup in Seattle’s 41-23 loss to the San Francisco 49ers on Saturday, January 14.
