Jazz Snap Losing Streak With Win Over Clippers

SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah Jazz snapped their five-game losing streak with a 125-112 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers.

Jordan Clarkson scored a season-high 33 points while the Clippers, who were playing without Kawhi Leonard and Paul George, were led by John Wall with 26.

With the win, the Jazz moved to 13-11 on the season.

First Quarter

The Jazz got off to a fast start behind Lauri Markkanen’s hot shooting. The Finnish forward scored 12 first quarter points on 4-5 shooting.

The Clippers were led by Reggie Jackson and Ivica Zubac who had six points.

The Jazz won the rebounding battle in the first quarter 12-5 after struggling in recent games.

After one the Jazz led the Clippers 35-26.

Second Quarter

The Jazz were bitten by the turnover bug committing six second quarter turnovers and 10 at the half.

The Clippers scored 16 points off the Jazz giveaways while turning the ball over only three times themselves over the first two quarters.

Jordan Clarkson had 16 points to lead the Jazz while John Wall scored 15 for Los Angeles.

At the break, the Jazz trailed the Clippers 60-58.

Third Quarter

Clarkson put his put imprint on the third quarter scoring 11 points, grabbing three rebounds, and dishing out two assists while playing the full 12 minutes.

The Jazz outscored the Clippers 28-14 to open the quarter, and finished with a 36-25 advantage during the period.

Clarkson had 27 points to lead the Jazz while Wall had 23 off the bench.

Through three the Jazz led the Clippers 94-85.

Fourth Quarter

The Clippers trimmed the Jazz lead to three early in the quarter but answered with a strong run to push the lead back to 10.

Clarkson finished with 33 points, Markkanen added 23, and Sexton added 21.

The Clippers were led by Wall who finished with 26 points.

The Jazz snapped their five-game losing streak with a 125-112 win over the Clippers.
