SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah Jazz snapped their two-game winning streak with a 121-114 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers.

Jordan Clarkson scored 26 points to lead the Jazz but was outdueled by Normal Powell who had 30 to lead the Clippers.

With the loss, the Jazz fell to 12-7 on the season.

First Quarter

With Mike Conley out of the lineup due to a knee injury, the Jazz struggled to execute offensively, turning the ball over six times.

Those turnovers led to easy transition baskets for the Clippers who abused the Jazz in transition.

Lauri Markkanen scored nine points to lead the Jazz while Ivica Zubac led the Clippers with nine.

After one the Jazz trailed the Clippers 34-24.

Second Quarter

The Clippers built their lead to as large as 17 as the Jazz struggled to shoot early in the second quarter.

However, Jordan Clarkson sparked a run in the second quarter scoring nine points and knocking down two three-pointers.

Clarkson led the Jazz with 14 points in the first half while Reggie Jackson and Normal Powell each at 15 for LA.

At the half, the Jazz trailed the Clippers 66-56.

Third Quarter

After a rough start to the third quarter defensively, the Jazz buckled down with Talen Horton-Tucker and Walker Kessler on the floor.

The Clippers struggled to get penetration against the Jazz’s longer lineup, creating easy baskets and a 17-4 run for the offense.

The Jazz outscored the Clippers 37-22 in the third behind 11 points from Lauri Markkanen and eight points from Kelly Olynyk.

After three the Jazz led the Clippers 93-88.

Fourth Quarter

The Jazz subbed Markkanen and Horton-Tucker out of the game for 1:37 at the eight-minute mark and the Clippers immediately went on a 9-2 run to take a 106-101 lead.

Nickeil Alexander-Walker filled in for the missing Conley at the back end of the rotation and the Jazz were outscored by 14 in his nine minutes on the floor.

Jordan Clarkson had 26 points to lead the Jazz while Normal Powell led the Clippers with 30 off the bench.

The Utah Jazz snapped their two-game winning streak with a 121-114 loss to the Clippers in Los Angeles.
