Saints TE Taysom Hill Flies For 57 Yards, Sets Up Red Zone TD Run

SALT LAKE CITY – Former BYU and current New Orleans Saints tight end Taysom Hill used a massive play to set up a red zone touchdown run in his team’s 2022 season opener.
The Falcons hosted the Saints at Mercedes-Benz Stadium on Sunday, September 11.
With 6:33 remaining in the first quarter, Hill flew down the field for a 57-yard gain. Two plays later, the former BYU star ran 11 yards and into the end zone for six points and New Orleans’ first touchdown of the season.
Hill’s touchdown run gave the Saints a 7-3 lead.

The play capped a five-play, 77-yard drive that took 2:02. It was the Saints’ second drive of the game.
After the touchdown, Hill had two carries for 68 yards and a touchdown.
Hill is in his fifth NFL season, all with the Saints.
This offseason, the ex-Cougar quarterback transitioned from a signal-caller to a tight end. During his NFL career, Hill has run for 1,183 yards and 16 touchdowns. He’s scored a total of 31 touchdowns.
