SALT LAKE CITY, UT - DECEMBER 8: Brandon Horvath #4 of the Utah State Aggies reacts at being called for a foul during the first half against the BYU Cougars December 8, 2021 at the J. Willard Marriott Center in Salt Lake City, Utah.

LOGAN, UT – Former Utah State University basketball player Brandon Horvath has signed with Saint-Quentin Basketball, a second division French team.

Horvath announced the signing on social media on Monday, August 1.

Horvath expressed his happiness with the signing on Twitter, “Extremely excited and blessed for this opportunity!! Can’t wait to get started!!”

About Brandon Horvath

A native of West River, Maryland, Horvath is a 6’10, 210lb. power forward.

Prior to joining Utah State for his final collegiate season, Horvath was a standout player at UMBC and had played for the Retrievers since the 2017-18 season.

Horvath helped UMBC to a 14-6 record in the 2020-21 campaign.

During his four seasons on the court with UMBC, Horvath averaged 8.7 points, 5.2 rebounds, 1.0 assists, 0.7 steals, and 0.3 blocks in 23.3 minutes per game.

In his lone season in Logan, Horvath was recognized by the Mountain West as a member of the all-Mountain West third team.

Starting each of the Aggies 34 games, he was the second-leading scorer and rebounder with 13.9 points and 6.6 rebounds per game.

Consistency was key to Horvath’s game as he scored in double figures in all but eight of the Aggies games. He added a double-double to the box score three times as a senior.

His 18 blocks lead the team while his 91 assists was good enough for third on the roster.
