Former BYU Running Back Now Free Agent After Ravens Withdraw Tender

SALT LAKE CITY – The Baltimore Ravens have withdrawn the minimum tender offer to former BYU running back Ty’Son Williams, making him a free agent.
Williams had been classified as an exclusive rights free agent by the Ravens on March 9. The Ravens made the announcement on Tuesday, May 10.

Last season, Williams ran the ball 35 times for 185 yards and a touchdown. He added nine catches for 84 yards out of the backfield.
Williams played in four games with the BYU Cougars during the 2019 season. He for 264 yards on 49 carries while scoring three touchdowns. Williams also made seven receptions for 47 yards. His lone season with BYU was cut short when Williams tore his ACL in the Cougars 45-19 loss the Virginia Tech.

Baltimore finished the 2021 season with an 8-9 record, missing the playoffs.
