SALT LAKE CITY – Former NFL linebacker Stevenson Sylvester highlighted the strengths of draft prospect and former Southern Utah Thunderbirds offensive lineman Braxton Jones.

Plenty of interest from NFL personnel about @SUUFB_ left tackle #77 Braxton Jones (@BraxtonJones742).
He’s played very well to start the season against FBS’s San Jose State and Arizona State. Mauling left tackle with real upside to continue to develop. #ShrineBowlRoadToVegas pic.twitter.com/WbBtCWob4n

“This guy is one strong human being,” the former Utah and NFL linebacker said of Jones.
Sylvester said that Jones will be a productive NFL offensive lineman for both the passing and run game.
According to Sylvester, Jones is an “amazing run blocker” that “any running back would love to run” behind.
He also said that there is “no question” that Jones can create a good pocket for a quarterback.
“When you get engaged with him, you’re not pushing him back,” Sylvester said of Jones.
The @seniorbowl is looking live at @ASUFootball vs @SUUFB_. If there was a prop bet for highest drafted sub-FBS prospect the betting favorite would be Southern Utah LT Braxton Jones. No telling how high @braxtonjones742 could go by April.#TheDraftStartsInMOBILE™️ #BestoftheBest pic.twitter.com/a5S2OlPXzP
