SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Here is how all of the players with ties to the state of Utah played during the AFC and NFC Championship games of the NFL Playoffs.

Former Utah Utes

Alex Whittingham – Defensive Quality Control Coach – Kansas City Chiefs (12-5)

The former Utah linebacker and the Chiefs suffered a 27-24 overtime loss to the Cincinnati Bengals.

Next Game: None – eliminated from the postseason

Terrell Burgess – Safety – Los Angeles Rams (12-5)

The former Utah defensive back and the Rams beat the San Francisco 49ers, 20-17.

Next Game: Super Bowl LVI vs. the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday, February 13 at 4:30 p.m. (MDT) on KSL TV

Eric Weddle – Safety – Los Angeles Rams (12-5)

The former Utah defensive back had nine total tackles, four solo tackles, and a tackle for loss in Los Angeles’ 20-17 win over the San Francisco 49ers.

Matt Gay – Kicker – Los Angeles Rams (12-5)

The former Utah kicker was 2/3 on field goals and 2/2 on PATs in Los Angeles’ 20-17 win over the San Francisco 49ers.

Mitch Wishnowsky – Punter – San Francisco 49ers (10-7)

The former Utah punter punted five times with an average of 37.6 yards per kick in San Francisco’s 20-17 loss to the Los Angeles Rams.

Andy Reid – Head Coach – Kansas City Chiefs (12-5)

The former BYU defensive back and the Chiefs suffered a 27-24 overtime loss to the Cincinnati Bengals.

Fred Warner – Linebacker – San Francisco 49ers (10-7)

The former BYU linebacker had 10 total tackles, seven solo tackles, two tackles for loss, and a pass breakup in San Francisco’s 20-17 loss to the Los Angeles Rams.
