Former Utah Kicker Matt Gay Sends L.A. Rams To Super Bowl LVI With Field Goal

SALT LAKE CITY – Former Utah Utes and current Los Angeles Rams kicker Matt Gay connected on a game-winning field goal in the final minutes of the NFC Championship game.
Gay and the Rams hosted the San Francisco 49ers for a Super Bowl bid on Sunday, January 30.
With 1:46 left in the fourth quarter, Gay drilled a 30-yard go-ahead field goal.

Gay’s kick gave Los Angeles a 20-17 advantage and the lead for good.
Gay finished the game 2/3 on field goals and 2/2 on PATs.
With the win, the Rams won the NFC title and earned a spot in Super Bowl LVI.

Los Angeles will play the Cincinnati Bengals in Super Bowl LVI on Sunday, February 13 at 4:30 p.m. (MDT) on KSL TV.
