49ers LB Fred Warner Forces Packers Fumble During Divisional Round Game

SALT LAKE CITY – Former BYU Cougars and current San Francisco 49ers linebacker Fred Warner forced a fumble during a postseason game against the Green Bay Packers.
The Packers hosted the Niners for the Divisional Round of the NFL Playoffs on Saturday, January 22.
With 4:00 remaining in the opening quarter, Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers completed a short pass to tight end Marcedes Lewis.
As Warner went to tackle Lewis, the former BYU star punched the ball free. Dre Greenlaw, Warner’s teammate, recovered the pigskin for the 49ers.

After the play, Warner had four total tackles, three solo tackles, one tackle for loss, and a forced fumble.

This season, the fourth-year linebacker helped the 49ers to a 10-7 record and a playoff berth.
He finished the regular season with 137 total tackles, 79 solo tackles, 0.5 sacks, one forced fumble, three fumble recoveries, and four pass breakups.
San Francisco’s game against Green Bay is televised on FOX.
