SALT LAKE CITY – Utah running back Tavion Thomas tied the school record for rushing touchdowns in a single season during the Utes’ game against the Oregon Ducks.
The No. 23 Utes hosted the No. 3 Ducks at Rice-Eccles Stadium on Saturday, November 20.
With 4:40 remaining in the opening quarter, Thomas burst up the middle and into the end zone for a 10-yard touchdown run.
It was the sophomore running back’s 15th rushing touchdown of 2021, which tied him with John White VI (2011) and Zack Moss (2019) for the most by a Utah rusher in a single season.
Tavion Thomas has tied the single season rushing TD record on that run.
