BYU Football Makes Another Jump In AP Top 25 Rankings After Blowout FCS Win

PROVO, Utah – The AP Top 25 pollsters continue to jump BYU football up their rankings. Even after a 59-14 win over Idaho State from the FCS ranks.

BYU, now 8-2 overall this season, jumped from No. 17 to No. 14 in the Week 11 AP Top 25 rankings.

The ranking is closer in agreement with the College Football Playoff committee who has BYU at No. 15 in their inaugural rankings of the season. A new CFP ranking comes out on Tuesday night at 5 p.m. (MT).

BYU also made a big jump in the Amway Coaches Poll going from 20 to 15 in this week’s poll.

The Cougars now get a much-needed bye week this weekend before heading out on the road for the final two games of the regular season to take on Georgia Southern (Nov. 20) and USC (Nov. 27).

Over the past two weeks, BYU’s offense has put up a combined 125 points against Virginia and Idaho State. Led by running back Tyler Allgeier, who was honored during BYU’s Senior Day festivities, BYU offense is starting to hit its stride at the right time heading down the home stretch of the season.
