PROVO, Utah – Former Utah and current BYU wide receiver Samson Nacua presented the Utes’ football team with an “LLTJ” flag honoring the late Ty Jordan.
BYU hosted Utah for the rivalry game at LaVell Edwards Stadium on Saturday, September 11.
Prior to kickoff, the Cougars ran a flag onto the field in honor of Jordan, who passed away in late 2020.
Nacua took the flag to the opposite end of the stadium and gifted it to Utah.

After Nacua presented the flag, Utah’s Aaron Lowe ran the flag onto the gridiron as the Utes took the field.
The flag features the LLTJ logo, “Long Live Ty Jordan,” with a pair of two’s to former Ty Jordan’s number 22, shaped in a heart.
Back on Christmas, Jordan tragically passed away from a single gunshot wound to the abdomen on Christmas night. He was only 19 years old.
In one season at Utah, Jordan became the Pac-12 Offensive Freshman of the Year and emerging as a future star at the position for the Utes. Last week, the University of Utah dedicated portal 22 in honor of Jordan at Rice-Eccles Stadium.
